Kapiti Coast with its breathtaking beaches, offers many all year round activities and is only 1 hour’s car drive or a train/bus ride (which leaves ½ hourly) into Wellington.
Peka Peka Beach is a wonderful safe swimming and surfing beach, with great sunsets, where you can walk, surf, ride your horse, relax, or just listen to the ocean and the birds sing!
From our Chalet B&B you have direct access to the beach! Our Chalet, detached from the main house, consists of a two room suite with an ensuite bathroom.
The bedroom has twin beds with cosy duvets, and the sitting room a pullout queen couch. The rooms both have sliding glass doors opening onto the patio. For colder days and nights, there is a heater, heated towelrack and electric blankets.
There are also plenty of NZ books, a DVD player, games and a TV to keep you company. Or maybe, if you want, one of our friendly cats Kirby or Suppie, will come over for a visit.
Coffee and tea facilities are in the room and for breakfast, we offer our gourmet German or FarmBrekkie or how you want it.
There is plenty of private and secure parking even for a camper van or a horse truck. We do cater for horses, as our beach is accessible to ride on all year round. Bring your own or we can arrange horse beach rides for you.
We speak German and lived and travel overseas for an extended time and love to share your experiences with us over a glass of wine.
Come and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the numerous activities around here.
There are nice restaurants and cafés in walking or biking distance, and there are numerous activities easily accessible here on the coast - in addition to the usual beach activities of swimming, surfing, boating, fishing, etc there is world class golfing, kayaking, tramping/hiking, Kapiti Island Trips, bird watching, river tubing, horse treks, bush walks, and nature reserves to explore. The vineyards of Martinborough can be easily enjoyed in a day trip.
